Alpha's Second Chance

Chapter 0265

NOAH

Alpha Louis's daughter has beautiful long black hair set up in a hairdo of braids. She has soft lips and the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen. And something makes me feel drawn to her, her sweetness and her calmness.

Alpha Louis just told us she is not yet eighteen. Why the hell do I feel like this? Even Lucian feels intrigued by this girl. Whatever it is, it is not something I can do anything about right now. When we all sit down, my eyes wander the room and stop at Madeleine.

I can't help it. I watch her and see her stand up and walk towards the restroom. An old wolf, a woman, walks past her and trips, but Madeleine is fast and catches her arm so the woman doesn't fall.

She has a warm heart and looks to be very caring. I hope her future will be as she deserves.

"Noah, it's time." I hear Dad say, and I nod my head when I look at him before I

stand up.

"Thank you, everyone, for being here today and for your allegiance and support. I know some will leave for home today while others will stay until tomorrow. For those who can and want to, I invite you to go on a run in the forest before bedtime. Other than that, I wish you all a good night." I say it loudly, and they all applaud me when I'm done.

"Well done, son," Dad says and smiles.

"Happy birthday, brother," Rose says and hugs me.

We all leave and get ready for a run while Dad makes sure someone gets the twins home safely. When everyone shifts and disappears into the forest, I see Dad and Mom going one way. And Rose and Enzo another.

I smile at it and shift before I disappear between the trees. Many of the wolves were trying to get a glimpse of me, but Lycian knew how to hide. We ran to the mountains by the waterfall and sat down on the top, looking down.

We watched wolves come and go on the ground, not seeing us, which we were perfectly happy with. It started to get quiet, wolves going back t go sleep, and we got ready to run home as well. Lucian stood up and was about to jump down, yes, jump., but something caught our attention. She came walking out from the forest, looking around before she moved to the waterhole at the bottom of the waterfall. Madeleine.

She sat down, running her fingers through the water, and we could see her smile. She looked around, the forest was quiet, and then she undressed. God, she was beautiful, and even though I knew it was wrong, I could not take my eyes off her. She was perfect in every way.

She didn't stay in the water for long, and when she was dressed again, she disappeared into the forest. Most likely, she is going back to where her dad and she are staying.

When I was sure she was gone, Lucian jumped to the ground, and we ran back to the castle. On the way back, I was distracted by my thoughts about Madeleine. It did not make any sense to me. I had just rejected Tiana and felt no hurt at all. And not just that, I felt mesmerized by this French seventeen-year-old girl.

Her look, especially her beautiful green eyes, but it was not all. Her scent almost called to me, which made no sense to me at all.

'Your mother was not yet eighteen when your father felt her to be his mate.' Lucian comments.noveldrama

'I know, but how did he know?' I ask.

'I guess he just did.' Lucian answer.

'Lucian.'

'Yes.' I owe an apology. I promised you not to reject our mate. And I did.'

'You have nothing to apologize for and I would have asked you to reject her. She wasn't worth of us in any way Lucian says, and I let it go.

'Who knows, maybe Madeleine is our second chance.' He says.'

'And she is going back to France tomorrow, which is very far away.' I commented.

'I know we will see her again.' Lucian replies. And we don't say anything more.

When we get back, I go straight to the castle and walk to my private wing. I feel a mindlink and let it through.

'My king.' I hear Gina's voice.

'Gina.' I answer.

'I heard about what happened and wondered if you wanted some company.' She carefully asks.

'Thank you for asking, Darling, but no thank you. I want to be left alone for a while.' I answer.

'Okay, My king. You know how to reach me.' She tells me, and I feel her pulling away.

Gina is a nice girl, a sweet girl, and she is beautiful. Not just on the outside but in her heart as well. The wolf she someday will learn to love and start a life with will be a lucky man. She deserves to be happy and to get to know what love is. I don't "love" Gina, not in that way I do care deeply about her and want her to be happy and treated well. She deserves that and more.

I'm walking down the hall and about to open the door to my room when I see a single moonflower on the floor. I pick it up, and a little note hangs from it saying, "Happy Birthday, my king." I look at it and know it's not Gina, and the scent tells me who. Madeleine
