Chapter 1281
Despite knowing Yvette was still upset, Lauren held her up and coaxed, seeing the deep disappointment in Willy's eyes.
"You're a polite child, aren't you, Yvette? You should greet an adult when you see them, right?"
"Would you like Mommy and Daddy to take you to school later? Say good morning to Daddy, and we'll ask him to drive us to school; how about that? Well take your favorite beautiful yellow car, hmm?"
Yvette was clearly against the idea, continuously nuzzling against her arms. Willy's heart shattered to bits as his disappointment deepened, seeing his daughter grow more and more upset.
"Forget it."
Just as he wanted to suggest they'd take their time, Yvette suddenly muffled a 'morning'.
Though it was only one word, Willy reacted as though he had won the lottery; his pitch raised a few notes that instant, "Morning!"
She sure had taught Yvette superbly well!
Lauren ruffled her hair praisingly, happy about the progress, not daring to rush things. "Good girl! Our baby Yvette is the best! What would you like for breakfast? I'll make them for you!"
A smile returned to Yvette's face as she gestured adorably, "pancake, fruits, oatmeal, and muffin... egg muffin..."
After carrying Yvette out of bed, she asked as she fixed her clothes, "Okay! Time to get up! What's the first thing we should do?"
"Wash our face and brush our teeth! We brush our teeth so that they won't fall off! And I can be a cute bunny, eat carrots and other yummy food..." "That's right, well done, Yvette!"
Lauren led her to the bathroom as they spoke. A warm, fuzzy feeling surged within Willy as he watched the two walk away.
She sure was a wonderful mother! She bent over backward for Yvette, their daughter!
How lucky he was!
Despite being unable to get involved during the whole process, Willy was unwilling to look away, thinking he was blessed, so blessed!
After a quick wash-up, the three of them went down one after another. Lauren went into the kitchen, leaving Willy and Yvette in the dining room. He was eager to talk to Yvette, but every time their eyes met, she'd pout and look away before Willy could even say a word, leaving him extremely bummed out.
Very quickly, Lauren brought a glass of warmed milk and a bowl of fruit salad out and carried Yvette to her seat, habitually putting a bib around her neck. A servant then served a plate of egg muffins, which Lauren took one and put on Yvette's plate.
"You can drink some milk if you're hungry. The egg muffin will have to cool down before you can eat; don't burn yourself. I'll go and make you oatmeal and pancakes, okay?"
Yvette nodded her head, the sweet child she was, and even kicked her feet a little. "Okay!"
Lauren then shot Willy another knowing glance before turning back into the kitchen.
The two looked at each other for a little while before Willy reached out for an egg muffin. But before he could even touch the plate, Yvette grabbed it and inched the plate over to her side. Willy was all upset as his hand levitated midair. Right then, a servant brought out two bowls of oatmeal and a small plate of pancakes, serving the hot bowl of oatmeal to Willy and the cooled bowl to Yvette, reminding her.noveldrama
"Please don't touch just yet, Miss Yvette. Let it cool down first. Careful not to spill it..."
"Okay, I know!"
With that, the servant left. Yvette then inched the bowl of oatmeal to her side. Seeing that she smacked her lips, seemingly hungry, Willy reached for the fruit salad, but before his spoon could even touch the bowl, Yvette's upset voice traveled to his ears.
"Don't eat!"
The next second, she got up and dragged the bowl to her side. "Mommy's not here yet; no eating! You can't eat..."
Though her seat wasn't tall, Willy

quickly got up, worried she'd fall over. He thought she was possessive about the food, but then she only shifted them, preventing him from eating while she didn't eat either before climbing back to her seat.
And that was what Lauren saw when she came out with a stack of pancakes and ham and bacon. "What's going on? Why aren't you guys eating? It's all getting cold..."
After putting them down, she first gave Yvette a piece of ham and bacon each. "Your favorite meat. One piece each every day."
"Thank you, Mommy!"
Yvette smiled, holding her hand.
"Good girl! I'll go and get my oatmeal; you go ahead and eat!" Lauren had a feel of the egg muffin before putting it in Yvette's hands. "Careful, it's very hot..."
Yvette took it and nodded before she began eating, her gaze following her mother wherever she went.
Willy then returned to his seat, and
Lauren returned with her bowl of oatmeal. It wasn't until she sat down that she noticed all the dishes gathered on her's and Yvette's side
while Willy only had a bowl of oatmeal and a set of cutlerjes. Seeing so, she couldn't help chuckling.

"Haha!"
Suddenly, she thought he was quite pitiful, thinking, "He has probably never been so disliked in his life, hasn't he?"
However, their daughter clearly didn't know any of it, eating her oatmeal while holding her egg muffin in the other hand, moving her body side to side every now and then, clearly enjoying her meal.
"Mommy, eat!"
"Okay, let's eat!"
With that, Lauren placed some fruit into a small plate and handed it to Willy. Yvette, on the other hand, fixed her gaze on Lauren's hand, wide-eyed the entire time. Lauren then gave Willy some pancakes.
"Have something!"
However, right as Willy reached out, Yvette stretched her neck, all anxious. "Mommy..."
Turning their gaze to her, the two of them chuckled under their breath, clearly amused. Lauren stroked her hair and placed some food into her plate with a smile.
"We can't possibly finish all of this, so why don't we give some to Daddy? It's quite sad for Daddy to go hungry, isn't it?"
"Hmph..."
Yvette took a bite of the egg muffin, clearly upset. However, Lauren didn't give up, handing her a small piece of the pancake. "Sharing is caring Good kids share with everyone don't they? You're a good kid; let Daddy eat some, okay?"
As she spoke, she shifted the dishes closer to the center. Though it was still closer to Yvette, making it easier for her, it wasn't as bad as before. Evidently, she responded to Lauren very well, nodding as she bit down her pancake.
"Thank you..."
Willy suddenly felt a lump in his throat as he spoke. He didn't dare imagine what things would be like if she instilled hatred toward him to Yvette in the last three years. He had genuinely met the kindest, sweetest woman in the world!
Overcome by emotions, Willy held her hand on the table tight, and the next second, Yvette grabbed her other hand, staring wide-eyed at Willy.
"Mommy... My mommy!"
Suddenly, Lauren was deeply enveloped in an unprecedented sense of fulfillment and happiness. "Sweet baby girl, I will forever be yours. No one can ever take me away from you! Let's eat..."
What do you think?
