Revenge is best served cold

As I had expected, the meeting barely lasted 30 minutes before Harvey stormed out. He grabbed me roughly and pulled me to the side.

"What the hell did you do?" His eyes were wide with fury, but beneath it was a trace of panic.

I calmly responded, "What did I do?"

Harvey took a deep breath angrily before saying, "The presentation! It's different from the one you showed me! What did you do to it?"

I suppressed my smirk and shook my head innocently. "I have no idea. Maybe you should take me inside so that I can take a look?"

For a brief moment, hesitation flickered across his face. He was afraid that if I entered the meeting room, I'd reclaim the credit he had been trying to claim for himself. But he had no other choice.

He had never actually reviewed the content of the presentation. Now that there was an issue, he had no idea how to fix it. If the problem had surfaced right at the start, he could've easily pinned the blame on me.

But now, 30 minutes had passed. At this point, he had probably built up his image as the one who had worked tirelessly on the project. If I walked in now, it would be a direct slap in the face to his claims.

Seeing the struggle on his face, I feigned innocence. "If there's nothing else, I'll head back to my work now."

"Wait!" Harvey called out to me. "Come into the meeting room and explain the report. But if there's even a single mistake, don't even think about staying in this company."

I blinked and reassured him, "Relax, Mr. Zimmerman. I put my heart and soul into this presentation. I can explain it perfectly even without looking at the slides."

Hearing this, Harvey's face turned pale and then he glared at me angrily.

Before entering the meeting room, he leaned over and threatened me, "Don't say anything unnecessary once we're inside, or else—"

I cut him off by pushing the door open and stepping inside.

On one side of the long table sat Brown Group's representatives-Harvey and the business director, Alex Zaleski. On the other side were our partner company's representatives—a manager I vaguely remembered was surnamed Parker, along with his secretary.

Among the four, Alex and Mr. Parker had met me before. But I relaxed slightly when I realized that they

didn't recognize me at all. With that, I walked to the front of the room.

At that moment, the presentation on the screen was a complete mess-covered in gibberish symbols.

I opened a control program and entered my password. Within seconds, the correct slides were restored.

That was another piece of software from Zachary. If a password wasn't entered within a set time, the designated file would automatically corrupt itself.

Before handing my laptop to Harvey,

I had set up the timer and designated the presentation file. If he wanted to steal my work, he'd

have to deal with the consequences.

As soon as the correct slides appeared, Alex turned to Harvey with a sharp gaze,

clearly questioning him.

I smiled and spoke up. "Since Mr. Zimmerman isn't very familiar with the content, let me do the explaining."

Harvey opened his mouth to protest but was immediately silenced by a glare from Alex. He wilted in his seat, looking utterly humiliated.

With that, I proceeded to deliver the entire presentation smoothly.

By the time I finished, Mr. Parker was nodding, clearly satisfied. "Young lady, I have to say I wouldn't have expected someone so young to be so capable."

I smiled humbly and asked, "So, Mr. Parker, does this mean you approve of our proposal?"

He nodded. "Of course. We've been working together for years. We should always prioritize cooperation. Just like you said earlier, long-term partnerships and mutual benefit are key"

Then, he squinted at me, studying me more closely. "How strange... I feel like I've

My heart skipped a beat. I smiled and said, "People always tell me I have a familiar face. I guess it's true."

I quickly shifted the topic and handed him the contract. "Mr. Parker, since you approve of this proposal, please go ahead and sign the contract."
