The CEO's Empathy Pregnancy Pains

Chapter 360 Sending His Mom Away

"What, surprised to see me back? Or maybe you never wanted me to return, hoping to push Grandpa to his grave and take down the Smith family? Is that your plan?"

Michael rarely looked this menacing, and it was downright terrifying.

His heavy footsteps echoed closer, like an invisible demon approaching, making hearts race with fear.

Scarlett held her breath, her eyes darting around, but she couldn't escape Michael's chilling gaze.

"I'm your mother! I... "

"Stop using that excuse!" He cut her off mid-sentence, startling her.

Scarlett had used that line too many times, and Michael was sick of it.

She shivered involuntarily, sweat forming on her forehead, her pupils dilating with fear and panic.

"Michael, I..."

"Right now, leave the Smith Mansion. I'll find you another place to stay. Until you leave the country, you're not allowed back here, and you better not cause any trouble for Grandpa." Michael took a few steps back, exhaled deeply, and pulled out his phone to call Andrew.

"Is the house ready? Then get to the Smith Mansion right away."

After hanging up, Michael met Scarlett's bloodshot eyes.

That look was all too familiar, just like when they were in the hospital. Michael had never seen Scarlett so ruthless. How could the mother he remembered be like this?

Michael didn't understand, he really didn't.

He sighed deeply and spoke to Scarlett, "Mom."

"Don't call me Mom! I don't have a son like you!" At this point, Scarlett felt there was no need to keep up the pretense.

Though she had neglected him in the past, she was still his birth mother.

"Michael, you've already sent me to prison once. Now what? You want to kick me out of the house and send me abroad? People will laugh at you! Michael, look at you now. Are you rebelling? Do you want to drive me to my grave to be satisfied?" Her words were laced with venom, her face darkening with malice.

But Michael remained unaffected, glaring at Scarlett until she grew uneasy. Only then did he speak slowly, "I was never raised by you. I never considered you my mother. And as for prison or leaving the country, you brought that upon yourself. It has nothing to do with me. If anything, I'm just cleaning up the Smith family for Grandpa." Michael's words hit Scarlett like a hammer.

Her eyes filled with tears, but she shot Michael a crazed, venomous look, her face contorting into a twisted smile.

After a moment, she spoke in a trembling voice, "Michael, do you really think I can't bring down the Smith family? Do you really think Mason can outlive me?

"If you have the guts, stab me to death! Otherwise, you'll always have to acknowledge me! Not just you, but Veda too. Can you bear to let her get married without her mother by her side? I'll be back, Michael. Remember that. I'll be the mistress of the Smith family again!"

Scarlett's voice rose to a furious roar, her laughter echoing through the Smith Mansion, sending chills down everyone's spine.

Andrew arrived just in time, understanding the situation without needing to ask.

He immediately signaled, and a team of men in black suits came in, grabbing Scarlett and dragging her out despite her struggles and cries.

Scarlett's screams and curses echoed through the mansion, gradually fading away. Andrew approached Michael, concerned about his state of mind.

Knowing the Smith family dynamics, he understood that watching Scarlett being taken away must have been hard for Michael. As expected, Michael's brow furrowed, his eyes flashing with a fierce intensity.

Andrew hesitated, not daring to say much, and cautiously asked, "Mr. Smith, what now..."

"Go back. I've already instructed Veda. She can handle things, just help her out. I neednoveldrama

a few days to rest," Michael replied.

A few days? How many exactly?

Andrew thought about Michael's packed schedule.

He wanted to ask but didn't know how to start.

After hesitating for a while, seeing that Michael had no intention of saying more, his eyes flashing with a stubborn light, Andrew didn't dare to push further. He nodded and left.

Andrew would never notice that as he closed the door, a tear glistened in Michael's eye. He cried, showing his most vulnerable side.

He tried to maintain his usual proud demeanor, but he couldn't. The tears flowed uncontrollably. He didn't understand why things had turned out this way, but he knew he had messed everything up, whether it was with his biological mother or Emily.

Meanwhile, Emily had no idea what had happened in the Smith Manor.

She had been holed up at home for days, drawing non-stop, sometimes working

through the night even after Isabella had gone to bed.

After all, she had to rely on herself from now on, and these two necklaces were for Leo, so she decided to be extra careful.

Today, for some reason, she felt particularly tired.

She put down her pen and left her bedroom.

Emily heated a cup of milk and picked up her phone, seeing several missed calls, most

of them from Abigail, which wasn't surprising since Abigail always had a lot to share.

But there were also two missed calls from Andrew.

Emily was surprised because Andrew rarely called her. Usually, Michael would contact her directly.

Why would Andrew call her? Could it be about the property division again?

Probably not.

Emily thought it over. Michael wouldn't be so eager.

Feeling anxious and curious, Emily decided to call Andrew back.

At the same time, Isabella came out of her room, playing with her freshly charged phone. She scrolled through her contacts until she saw a familiar name, the orphanage. Isabella paused, standing still as if guided by an unseen force.
