Caught In His Embrace: A Second Chance Romance

Chapter 427

Sienna choked a few times and slowly uttered, "I will let go of the past and forgive you... I'll forgive you for not loving me in the past, and for the indifference and ruthlessness resulting from not loving me."

Tears welled up in her eyes.

Sienna forced a smile. "I don't hate you anymore. I don't hate you. I feel no more resentment toward you, and I'll go easy on myself too."

Taking a long breath, she felt a dull ache in her lungs.

"So, you must wake up. You have to live. Only then will my forgiveness and letting go be meaningful, right?" said Sienna.

Outside, Andy had returned at some point.

Seeing Sienna crying, Andy furrowed his thick eyebrows. He looked at Ethan.

"Mr. Evans," said Ethan.

Andy's eyes flickered slightly as if he was plotting something.

After a moment of silence, he ordered, "Bring Yvette here."

"Mr. Evans..." Ethan paused, glanced inside, and said in puzzlement, "But, don't

you already know? Mr. Edgar Evans likes the one inside."

"Likes," Andy scoffed. "Sometimes, that's not a good thing."

He thought, 'Edgar's current state is the best proof.' Andy said, "He's the only

useful son I have, and I'm hoping he'll live a long life."

Andy waved his hand at Ethan. "Just do as I said."

"Okay, Mr. Evans." Ethan didn't ask any more questions before he left.

Andy looked inside the room and narrowed his eyes.

'My relationship with Edgar is already terrible and couldn't withstand any further strain. I wouldn't take action of Sienna, he contemplated.

Sienna was escorted out of the room by the bodyguards and was again pressed onto the couch in the outer room.

She waited quietly.

As time passed by, Sienna gradually became anxious.

When Ethan went to the inpatient building to look for her earlier, she left in a hurry and didn't bring her phone.

She didn't even say a word to Tara.

They would be worried if they couldn't find her.

Sienna looked at the bodyguard. "Can I make a phone call?"

"No," the bodyguard refused. "Mr. Brown ordered that you can only wait in the

ward and are not allowed to contact anyone."noveldrama

They thought she wanted to call someone for help.

Although the bodyguards were not afraid, it was better to avoid trouble.

"You..." Sienna was speechless and wanted to argue. "My daughter.."

Just then, the door of the ward was suddenly pushed open.

It was Yvette.

Sienna looked up. They were both shocked as their eyes met.

"You." Yvette frowned and was about to speak when she realized something was wrong.. Why was Sienna tied up?' she wondered.

Shepushed the wheelchair to Sienna.

Yvette scrutinized Sienna before looking at the bodyguard beside her.

Looking around, she suddenly let out a laugh. "Sienna, could it be that you didn't come here voluntarily but were forced by Mr.

Evans?"

Her gaze darkened as she questioned, "Josiah has become like that because of you, and you are unwilling to even pay him a visit?"

Sienna glanced at her calmly before she looked away. Then, she leaned back on the couch and closed her eyes.

She and Yvette had never had a good relationship before.

Their conversation would only lead to a fight.

Josiah was still lying in the ward, struggling to survive, so she did not want to start a fight.

Yvette was taken aback for a moment as she was being ignored.

She gritted her teeth and scoffed, "I'm here to see Josiah, not to argue with you."

She pushed her wheelchair and went inside.

Just then, the nurse pulled the door open from inside.

She looked around and finally looked at the bodyguard. "Mr. Evans is awake."

The bodyguard was overjoyed, and they looked at each other.

"Okay."

One of the bodyguards immediately went to call and inform Andy.

Yvette pushed the wheelchair straight forward. "I'm his girlfriend.

Can I go in and see him?"

When the nurse heard that she was his girlfriend, she didn't stop her. "Sure... But he's still quite weak."

"I got it." Yvette couldn't wait. "I won't go overboard."

On the couch, Sienna stared blankly through the glass wall.

"Josiah," Yvette called as she pushed the wheelchair to the bedside.

Seeing Josiah's pale and weak face, she felt sad and her eyes turned red. "How did this happen?"

"Yvette," Josiah whispered, forcing a smile. "I'm fine.."

"Fine?" Yvette glared at him. "Of course, you are. You promised you'd always be with me. Don'ty ever try leaving me alone!"

She reached out to hold his hand.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she sobbed. "Thank goodness you're okay... If anything happened to you, I'd be all alone..."

"Yea..." Josiah frowned slightly. His gaze shifted away from Yvette, as if he was searching for something.

Yvette saw it. The sadness and tears in her eyes disappeared instantly.

She remained expressionless. "What are you looking for?"

Clearly, she already knew the answer.

Without waiting for a response, Yvette smiled faintly and said, "You're looking for Sienna."

Josiah fell silent for a moment before he nodded. "Yea. She..."

"She's outside," said Yvette.

'Really?" Josiah was surprised. He

Yvette felt her eyes stung as she saw all his expressions.

She glanced outside and pouted at Josiah. "She's right outside.

Should I have someone bring her in?"

"Yes," said Josiah Josiah frowned. He wondered what she meant by having

someone bring her in.

"Hmm..." Yvette sighed.

She hated being the one to tell him. "You need to be mentally prepared. She was

tied up."

"What?" Josiah's heart skipped a beat. He wanted nothing more than to jump to his feet. "What happened?"

"Don't worry." Yvette rushed to help him steady himself. "It was Andy It was your father's doing. Sienna didn't want to come, so your father had no choice but to have her brought here by force."
